Default Removing stock fog lights

Hey , I just got a 2001 IS300 and I bought some clear fog lights. Sorry for the newb question, but anyone know how to remove the stock fog lights? I would appreciate any directions or advice, thanks.

unfortunately the easiest way is to take off the front bumper........then the fog lense is held by 2 bolts on one side and clipped in on the other side.......pretty easy to remove

Yup, removing the front bumper is probably the best way to do it. There are a series of screws underneath the front bumper (5, i think), then there are a couple bolts behind the plastic covering in the front wheel wells, then you need to remove a couple bolts on top at the ends of the grill. I may be missing something, but that's pretty much it.

BTW, the bumper is pretty flexible, so don't worry about bending it a little to remove it.

yup that's the easiest way. some people try to go through the wheel well flap on the two sides, it's not really that easy.

well since you are taking off the front bumper, you will see that the sidemarkers are held on by 2 screws on each side........and walaaah........they come off

yup, this one is easy. and even without the bumper off, just go from the wheel well, pull back the flap, that's you can gain access to that already
