Did anyone else catch the half hour special on the SC430 and the upcoming IS300 with the 5 speed? I assume they will repeat this during the week.

I saw that show... I think they could have rallied thecars a little more on the track. Sometimes it would show them in the car all laid back for a sunday cruise. I wonder if Lexus paid them to make that show. Not a single bad thing said about either car. I was jealous on how effortless it was for him to burnout.

I am seriously thinking about trading my car in for the 5speed. If I did I could just swap all my parts over the day I buy it. Is it true that they are only making a small amount of 5 speeds next year? I heard there will only be around 1000? Is that right?

I've been thinking about trading my IS in for the 5-Speed for a few weeks now.. Its so aggravating having to pay another down-payment on my lease... But its VERY worth it! You can actually take the car to highest potential with the REAL manual. I really havent modded mine yet.. I've been thinking about getting the manual..

I believe it was AutoWeek that said there would be 1500 manuals imported. Well, 1499 when you include the one I will buy

Usually the manual is less than the auto by a few hundred$$, esp is the auto is semi-automatic

Default Could be more

If there is a limited supply of manual cars they could end up being more expensive because of the demand. Why is lexus bringing such a small number?

I didn't catch the name of the program, I just happend to be flipping when I saw the beginning. However, I don't think that it is called "Toyota Showroom 2001" If memory serves me correct that is a program about all the toyota vehicles - kind of like a full line broshure on the T.V.

It is limited supplied because the car comes out in August.
That is only 4 months of sales and they based it on the number of sales so far on th IS.
