Default freeway RPM

At 80mph what RPM does everyone rest at? I have an 02 5-speed model and its quite high, around 3650 rpms. I have 255/40-17 Falkens on 94 Supra Turbo wheels (17x9.5) in the back.

Just wondering. Thanks.

3650 RPM seems a little high to me. I believe my car cruises around 3100 RPM around 80MPH.

I'm just curious, what offset are your rear wheels? It must be a tight fit.

the offset is the stock 50mm. they fit perfectly, but it is close to the rear spring.

the fronts needed a spacer. (17x8 235/45)

i am starting to think it may be my tachometer? it says i idle at 1000 rpms...

i talked to a lexus dealer's service department, and the tech said he has a IS300 as well and he is at 3600 when cruising at 80mph.

so i am confused now.

umm..... i wouldn't be able to verify that anymore, sold the car.... but for sure if it's a MT, i believe the rpm is a bit higher than that of the AT. but 3600rpm somehow sounds high to me

go somewhere and find a car for test drive?

again, the 5 speed manual has a higher rev at 80, so just keep that in mind

come to think about it, i am trying to remember the odometer on the car. maybe it's that high. i am trying to remember when i am going at 90mph, is the speedo around 4k on the manual?
