I've been looking at numerous pictures of both and they look identical. Unfortunately there are no local ISs around here to try it out. It would be the 2 front headrests. Anyone care to try?

no, the gs headrests are a bit bigger..............they will fit the IS as my friend bought GS headrests to fit his 7" monitors in his IS.......

yup i had both cars before, the GS headrests are bigger

and if you want even bigger (wider) ones, get the gs rear seat headrests

Does this mean that you can switch headrests on the IS and GS and the posts will work with either seat?

well i know the front and rear GS headrests they are interchaneable, the rear being a bit wider. i am not sure if the rear headrests can tilt though

given that they are interchangeable, and 1NewLexIS300 stated that some people put the gs ones in the is for 7" monitor, i think they are all interchangeable

If you are going to try to swap them definately get the rear headrests from the GS. As Rominl posted they will accomodate a 7" screen without much modification
