I had them put a switch in too to turn the amp on and off, because females like to complain about the sub being too loud.

Looks very good and I really like the switch up front, nice and hidden. If you got a bigger box it would make that sub sound alot better. Shouldn't you be using more than a 250/1 to a w7 sub? maybe a 500/1? I have a jl e1400d running to my 10w6v2.

love the switch, the staples gotta go. the best thing to use for speaker box carpet is 3m spray adhesive. works like a charm.

and i would also think that if the 250/1 doesn't work out to use try a 500/1. Great amp, I've got one and just love it.

Couple updates...

1. I used a sharpie and colored the staples black, so you cant see them at all anymore

and 2. My fathers friend (whos a carpentar) and I built the box to the specs it has in the JL booklet that came with the sub, so how big should it be if i got a bigger box?

The 250/1 box is more then enough for that sub since JLactually recomends that amp for that sub.. That box is also big enough unless you are going to make it ported... I have sold and installed dozens of every size of these subs and can tell you that ported sounds best.. Just a thought..

It looks pretty good. The only thing I would do would be to hide the wiring from the amp. I think that will make it a much cleaner install
