Anyone have pics of a LCD screen installed into the factory top dash? Also a place or make of the dash kit would be nice too. I'm thinking getting one installed. I'll listen to all your ideas and recommendations.

I was looking for a dash kit that I could use to mount a LCD into the factory dash board. I was going to cut the top dash so the LCD can pop up out of the dash. Hope that was clear. Thanks I'll drop him a e-mail.

nate where did you get the navg. sys. I am putting in a panasonic dvd player with motorize screen can I add the navg. sys to that without the screen

 

glex: the system itself (dvd and screen) was $2400 and installation was separate. it's an alpine screen and alpine dvd nav system.

changster: i don't really understand your question!!! i got the nav system from the stereo place where i did the install. i don't really understand the question about adding a nav to the dvd! but you can definitely incorporate a dvd player and nav at the same time!

 

ok, so I can incorporte the nav with my dvd player. do they have to be the same brand.

From looking at all these pics aftermarket and stock navigation sytems. The LCD just flips up instead of being hidden under the dash.

 

cow: my alpine screen is 6.5"

the stock one is gonna basically do the same thing as the one i have installed. if you have seen the stock pics on is300.net the screen also just flips up!
