Hey all, i'm thinking about getting the new manual is300 sometime next year, and was wondering what kind of insurance rates i could expect. I'm 20, male, and a clean driving record in nj.

Thanks!
Mike

Yikes. I hear insurance companies don't like NJ...lotsa car thefts. Watch the IS like a hawk. Someone on IS300.net noted that there was a theft ring looking for IS300s over there. I found that hard to believe, since the model is so new...unless they're exporting the vehicles somehow.
I could tell you what I pay...but I'm an old lady (42) with a spotless record and I don't want to make you feel badly. OK...well, I took the $1,000 deductible: Just under $500 for six months.

Ehh, that doesn't sound too good. Maybe I'll just insure it under my parents then.

I'm with State Farm (in Ohio), currently paying about $583/ six months with $500 Deductible.
The problem is, I had several speeding tickets with my previous car (MR2) 2 years ago, minor accidents 4 years ago ......Otherwise, it could be lower than $500/6 months easily !!!!

I'm insured under my parents with Allstate and it comes out to about $80 a month with a $500 deductible. My fiance and I are currently shopping around though to be put on our own insurance policy because my parents have too many cars under their policy.

Insurance in MA sucks....i'm 18, never gotten any moving violation or accidents, but insurance for me will be about 3200 until i turn 19, then itll be like 3000, until i turn 22...in MA, if you haven't had you're license for 6 years they bend you over....unlubricated  step 9 is the lowest you can be(no tickets/accidents), but only until you've had a license for 6 years....right now im step 14(as low as i can be, until 1 more year)

your screwed!

I live in NJ. I got a new is300 its insured by AllState.

Im a 23 male, with the best possible driving record.

I pay $1400 for six months with a 500 deductible.
Prudential wanted $1800 for six months.

You should try to get new jersey manufactures. its hard to get but well worth it, look into.

if you really want cheap insurance, work one day a week for the state, and you can get njm, then quit that job

njm

good luck!

Goes to show you...WHERE you live is also a function of the risk involved. We're gonna pay in MA, NJ and WA...and it's cheap in OK. Lucky I also get the sales commission back on inusurance...they sell that stuff on the other side of the office. That's 10% back in cash each time the policy renews.
