Hi, I just waxed my car for the first time. I used a product called
Nu Finish. It's in an all orange bottle. Anyways, I did like it told
me to. Waxed my car a section at a time and after like 30 seconds wiped
it off with a white towel cloth. I don't know what the problem is but
it leaves a streak that I can totally see. I don't know what I did wrong.
Did I leave it on too long or too short? I did it in the shade. But it says
it can also be done in the sun so Im sure that didn't matter. Please
give me some advise guys. I have 2001 Black IS300. Is it because I have
black that the streaks are more noticeable or am I doing something wrong?

Thanks

Default Need to buff some more

I believe NU Finsih is polymer based and sometimes especially on a black car it is noticible when it doesn't all come off. I just found a product I am very pleased with that is maded by the Rain X people. Its called Fast Wax, its made for in between waxing. It looks fantastic and sprays on and wipes off very easily leaving a nice shine. My two previous cars were black so I know your agony.

Rain-X® Fast Wax
Ideal for use between conventional waxings, Rain-X® Fast Wax boosts shine and protection to keep your car looking cleaner longer. It's quick and easy and can be applied to a wet or dry car.

I alsways had that problem with my last car it was also black. Just get a clean towel and wipe the car down. this should remove the smears that you are having.

Hey guys remember to use a soft towel to remove .. look for the ones that say something like diaper soft. Also I use the mguires products. thaey have a three step. 1 cleans 2 polishes 3 waxes. It works nice.
