is this a do it yourself thing? anyone know how or have a link. any huge risk involved.

I did this myself. I would not call it easy because there are a lot of steps to possibly screw it up. There is a good thread on the IS forum about how to do. Good luck if you are going to do it yourself just take things slow and think about it and you should be fine.

I put some on my 01' IS300 it was not the big of a problem you should be able to do it yourself with no problem.
