What’s a decent price for an IS300 2001 model is excellent condition and NO upgrades. I'm about to drop $15,000 and I'm getting cold feet any opinions?

I just looked at an IS300 today the 2001. It had 90,000 on it. I would be paying 15,000. All stock, brand new tires, perfect condition. Should I buy or not buy.

It looks perfect, I am going to let my dad see the car tomorrow morning. Could there be something minor with the engine or something for such a low price? Or could it just be that they need to beat the tax man?

i think the price just ok. you should look at kbb retail value and trade in value or whole sale value and negotiate from there. I think $16k with 95k miles is at high side in my book, i will not pay more than 15k for that. i just brought a 02 is300 with manual transmission with 49k miles for $18k from a dealer too (2 days ago).

also you should have budget for 100k miles tune up, i believe it is quite expensive. and try to see if you can look up the serivce record, see if the previous owner done all of the necessary services.

Yes one thing I will ask if the timing belt has been changed because they are supposed to be past 90k. Btw, I am buying the car for 15k or maybe even less.

One thing I noticed at speeds exceeding 80mph or so the driver side window gets really noisy. A possible seal issue i suspect. I will ask if they will fix that problem for free. Also the keyless entry doesn't work, which I will have them fix as well.
