Area 51 BB installed

I installed my area 51 BB today, I still hve my stock intake on it. I noticed when I rev it up on park in lags untill 2000 rpm then it flys. it this normal? I noticed a increese in power but how can you tell it is working. whould I get a check engine light if it wasent.

I responded to your other question. One of the problems I had w/the Area 51 Black Box (I'm not putting the company down) is that I don't recall seeing dyno sheets of their intake or their BB. Consequently, it's hard to tell what the engine does in the power band w/either of their products installed.
This is one of the reasons I haven't gotten a BB yet. I'm waiting for a clearer indication of WHERE the power improvement is and not only "what" the power improvement is.
I hope Area 51 posts this information soon.

Area 51 doesn't have a Dynojet. Their dyno (brand escapes me) only produces tabulature output info, so you'll not see a dyno graph. If you call them up, they can fax it to you.
Since there have been a bit of skeptism of manufacturer dyno numbers, I would recommend finding someone who has the unit and see a Dynojet graph of Area 51 BB.
If it was me, since there are now three companies with piggy back ECUs for the IS300, I would do some research before spending my money. The other two vendors are SRT and Weapon-R.
