I have a 02 IS300.The airbag light is on.I have a code reader that shows "B0101 open in D squib",does anyone know how to fix this?

Have you had the vehicle since new?

Any chance the bag was fired and is now missing?

I just got it about 2 months ago.Light was already on.I know it was prevously wrecked(light hit).Was told the bags didn't blow and are all there.From what I can tell they are there.Do you know what the code means?

umm....... my guess is the airbad is "mulfunctioning"? you should get dealership to check it out

Edit: The file is missing. I'll look it up on my database at work and see what this code reads as. Sounds like the "light hit" was a major impact. There's a good chance the airbags were replaced previously. Does the car have a clean or salvage title?

It was previously salvage but repaired and DMV inspected and when I got it I got a clean title.There is very little indication that it was salvage other that the guy I bought it from said it was and showed me the pile of parts that were replaced.And of course the aibag light.
