new IS owner saying hello
Hello all,
I just wanted to introduce myself to the board. I am a new owner of a 2003 IS300 MT here in Saint Louis, MO. I bought the car with 40k miles on it about a month and a half ago and have loved every one of the 2000 miles I've put on it so far. As someone who couldn't decided on what car to buy, going back and forth between WRX's, Civic Si's, Evo's, STi's, etc etc etc, I decided on the IS because of the undisputed reputation of Toyota (and the amazing 2JZ ).
Just wanted to say hi!

Now why don't you tell everyone how anti-Lexus you were 4 years ago and who swayed you over to the dark side I see I got you hooked to CL too.... its addicting, get ready to start slacking at work and failing out of school.
Decide on an exhaust yet?

hahaha how did I know that you would find me on here? Oh yeah, you're "studying" all the time. lol.
I wasn't "anti" lexus...i just "nothing-ed" lexus....big mistake in hindsight.
BTW, I bought the IS to spite you
I think I'm going to go with the Apex'i...but I still need to wait until spring. My coworker has a lift so it should be "peace of" cake to put in.

Well, MT is Manual Transmission. It's silver and I think it looks absolutely amazing. I used to look for the graphite color but now that I have a silver IS, I've grown to like it the best (obviously).
I'll try to get some pics up soon. Thanks for the replies.

Yah, I love the manual. I only looked for IS's with 5 speed's because for some reason I think its a "more pure" way to drive. That's just my thoughts.
The MT is great everywhere, but in rush hour, good lord
