Question Popping In My Front Right Wheel When I Turn?

I hear a popping noise in the front right hand corner when I turn my wheel reversing and usually pulling out of places.I have taken my car into the dealer 2 times now and have driven the car around with the guys that work there. I always here it more when its just me in the car but anyway they keep telling me they can't find anything. Its not really bad but it's bad enough to where I notice it all the time. What is that popping? I ran over something a month back but I havent heard anything until 2 weeks ago. Please can someone help me with like maybe guessing what it is, so I can go to the dealer and say check this or that. I have an 04 -300

What did you run over? Really hard to say what it could be. If the IS was a front wheel drive I'd say CV, but......Good luck :|

I doubt a dog would hurt the suspension. Is the popping more when you're turning the wheel or when the wheels are turning? Trying to narrow it down between suspension and steering components.

...but yeah it does suck when you kill an animal. I ran over a dog in my work truck a few years ago. It chased my truck and then ran right under the back tire. Even worse, the dog belonged to this little old lady and she came hobbling out, crying, and I had to carry her dead dog back to the house

if you check out on my.is forum (under stop, drop and roll), you'll find couple of people including me, are having the same problem and none can figure it out.

One guy said he's gonna get it check on monday and keep us updated.

The expected problems:
endlinks/brake related/bushings/suspension related.

IMO since the noise is popping occasionally, most dealers/mech. would not be able to figure it out.

I, on the other side, just trying to ignore it, until it gets worse; therefore the problem can easily be determined.

First are you guys lowered?

Next I used to have this problem as well and it was the endlinks. My mech. checked everything out and said he couldn't see what the problem was, so I left. After another week of the popping I took the car back in and made him change the endlinks anyway. Ever since he changed them there is no more sound.

On the outside of the endlink everything looked fine but on the inside there was no more oil in the link and this is what caused that popping sound.

This is just my experience but hey its worth a try.

IS endlinks, or any part of the suspension doesn't have a zirc fitting, so chances of it EVER being lubed are going to be slim to never happened. You could always drill and tap them for a zirc, or go HEIM joint style.
