Is there any ECU mods that can be done to make it so I can downshift into 1st gear?

In the e-shift auto, 2nd is as low as you go. There are no upgrades that you can to do change that unless of course you convert to manual. Sorry.

yup Like Amy just said

E-shifts only goes down to 2, there is a main reason why toyota designed the car that way, i forgot what it was. i think something to do with safety for engine and driver. someone correct me if im wrong.

Its not and Audi its a Lexus

It's because the 1st gear is an over-drive gear or something like that. And I do think it has something to do with the protection of the engine.

Fair enough but then how do you launch out of 1st gear? Start it auto then slide it over to manual?

Naw, you just launch it in e-shift. The car is in 1st gear even though it says 2nd. You cannot manually shift the car until after the car shifts itself from 1st to 2nd. Once the car is in second then you are free to shift.

if u want to decide when u shift into 2nd [from 1st] ... you can start in "L" ... u can only shift into L when ur @ a stop tho ... and i'm not sure if that's bad for the car or not ... i've only done it a couple times when i rly needed to win a race off the light

You can also put it into PWR mode to get the best rpm's out of 1st gear when in M-mode. I always turn off traction control too. Pisses me off when I jump on it and the car slows itself down because it feels the wheels slipping. That always seems to happen when I NEED the power to get out of the way.
