this happened to me before after i got my car back from getting it repainted..the shop told me that the car is shaking like crazy and it bogs out..so i asked them if they did anything to it..and they said all they did is wash it and after that it started acting up..came to find out some idiot hosed down the entire engine bay getting rid off the excess buffing compound..well anyways the 5th and 6th spark plugs got water on them..and my check engine and trac light are both on and blinking...so a question for you, did you wash your car??..

My car also acted like that when I removed the traction control fuse in the fusebox (CEL, trac light blinking and bogged down), but strange enough, I got a CEL and Trac light blinking after I installed a cheap intake that had no mounting brackets. It rested on top of what I assume is the traction control unit itself. The lights went off and havent returned since I removed the intake and reset the ECU. I have no idea if this is at all related to your problem, but hope it helped. Good luck.

With any Check Engine Light the TRAC light will blink. This is normal for the TRAC light to blink. Your TRAC system is shut off to avoid a possible malfunction. If you have your Engine codes, we can help. Dont worry about the TRAC at this time.

Most common IS300 trouble codes are:
P0300-P0306 / Engine cylinder misfire (example earlier posted of water in spark plug tubes)
P0161 / Bank #2 Sensor #2 Oxygen sensor heater circuit malfunction
P0171 / System lean malfunction (usually dirty or defective air flow meter)
P0440, 441, 446 / Evap system malfunction (loose fuel cap)

Good luck

by the way update on my car, i got it reset then after one day it began popping out again. but the error i think shows it's oxygen sensor2. so i guess i'll just have to buy it.

More than likely you car was misfiring due to wet ignition components. Goto Autozone and have the codes read and cleared.

There is no firing order per say - I think its a waste spark ignition. Just make sure you have the Coil packs on in the proper configuration.

Default Spark plug

I found out what I needed to know. About three weeks ago I got a hold of some bad gas, and after that it ended up messing up one of the spark plug, it caused the check engine light to come on and it made the car run really bad. Well I replaced the bad spark plug and it runs better now.
