I heard a dirty rumor that if i change out my stock radio that my factory sat nav won't operate any longer.
The only reason that I ask is because my stock CD player has stopped operating and Lexus wants a rediculous amount of money to replace it, so I figured I'd get an aftermarket CD player.... but if my navigation wont work any longer, that changes things completely.
thanks for any help.

Yes and no. If you chuck the stock radio altogether you will lose the NAV. What most people do is mount the stock radio somewhere in the trunk while the aftermarket deck takes center stage in the console. This is the only workaround I've heard of if someone has found an alternative method I'm sure they'll post it.

man... you have to mount the whole thing in your trunk?
If anyone has had to do this, will you please post a few pictures and explain what you had to do? (or if you found a better workaround, please post that)
thanks again.
