yup, from Vancouver Canada (no it is not one big ice field up here thank you). We mostly funciton in the rain in Van, but when we get snow it's a few feet ...
Answer to question: very ok ... not great, but completely ok. I did get stuck a couple of times even with the appropreate tires which is why I wont say 'good' ... I came from driving a large american SUV, so I was used to being able to drive INTO snow mounts instead of around them and I'd never been stuck before. "M" mode definately a plus, saved me a couple times, and "L" works nicely when you're trying to get un-stuck.
Hope that helped a little.

I have yet to have much of a problem with my IS in the snow. I frequent the mountains, and it has held its ground, but it slips a bit on stock tires.I recommend the Falken 512's, I use those in the winter in the mountains.

If you put on winter tires... the IS300 will be great in the snow. We just had some messy driving Friday afternoon/evening/night in Toronto... and my IS300 made it thru without any problems.

Like everyone said, as long as you have a good set of snow tires, you'll be fine. The IS300 is actually quite fun in the snow.
But, with the stock/summer tires, Park It.
