Question shark fin instead of antenna

does anyone know where we can get the shark fins (a-la-bmw style) to replace our antennas?

It's not a replacement antenna. It's a shark fin that double sided tapes on to the roof (no more AM/FM radio).

If you still want it, they sell it at ebay (cf one was tempting, but i like my radio)

i believe that the junction produce antenna still keeps the am/fm. i am not sure though and it is pricey.

see, I think radio kinda sux ... and I pay to have imported music from the UK, so I don't care if I loose am/fm

Having said that, I like this possibility of keeping the radio (from a re-sale p.o.v) so on that note ... how do I contact these Junction people? and where are they located?

thx guys

I have one of those shark fin antennas and I don't see a degrade in radio quality. In fact, that's all I play when I drive. It's pretty good.

My IS is an 07 so it came with the shark fin antenna as a standard feature. I think the 06 models didn't have that option. You can probably have it upgraded from the dealership. I'm not sure of the wiring on it or how it is so different from the regular antenna.

Does the 2007 version double as an XM antenna?

Those are dummy antennas, but maybe you might be able to get one from the 2IS and try to re-wire things on the IS300...

I don't think I have seen one that works for our car yet though
