I love my IS but the motor is to weak!!!!! DAYMN non turbo JZ. I was wondering if its possible to swap either a GS 400 v-8 motor or a turbo supra motor into a IS. Is there anyone out there that has accually performed this operation?
Ive seen a few BMW 3 series with v8s and v12s so i know this is possible.
It sounds so crazy LEXUS IS300 v-8 or would it be IS400!!!!!!!
Daymn who ever does this swap first is going to be the IS god!!!

This is true. An australian fellow with the IS200, dropped in the GTE motor. There were a ton of modifications ECU, electrical, motor mount issues. He had his web site up and we were able to view this. Of course he worked with Marine boats, so this allowed access to removing and upgrading the motor. It is quite impressive. Do a search, you may be able to find the thread. Hope this helps.

 

My project plan for next year is to drop in a GS v8 motor!!! Thats if i save up the money. Does anyone know the stats on the IS in auustralia?

You can put a 2JZ-GTE in.
TTE is doing a SC-ed GS430 ebgine in an IS as we speak, should be a monster!!!!!!!

 

if you're doing a swap...2jzgte would have a lot more potential for a lot cheaper price than a 1uz...
