Default nitrous isnt that bad

just for you people who have thinkin about running nitrous, with the nitrous express 70 shot wet system and the full exaust from headers back with a air flow controller i can make an estimated 340rwhp. i only say that because my dad has a 300zx twin turbo with intake and full exuast headers to race pipes, and ive raced him and as soon as i launched i started pulling on him pretty hard... but i dont know what do you smarter guys think?

Very true, when installed and used properly, nitrous is helpful.

Some key points is get a wet shot, don't forget after 75shot start retard timing, and I would also suggest getting a rpm window switch. Keep eye on nitrous pressure, and a/f ratio to make sure your aren't running lean.

I doubt your making that much to the wheels with a 70 shot, but it does help alot.

PS: Nothing like boost though...

yeah i didnt really think i was but i sure as hell can leave on my dad... it makes him mad, and i think its funny...

as far as boost goes i want to do the gte swap but, i think i'm just gonna buy a supra chasis and start from scratch. reason being they are my favorite car, i used to have a '93 5speed n/a but i got alittle too confident in my drifting and found a ditch to wreck in... made me sick...

Why not get a sc300 and do either a NA-T, Full 2JZ-GTE swap, or 1JZ-GTE swap?? It will cost less than getting a Supra.

Or get a 240 and do a 2JZ-GTE swap...

my favorite car is a supra, and i figured getting a supra body without a motor for like 5k and i can get a motor and new trany for about 4k, so right there im at 9k and i figured 2-3k install and i have a tt supra for like 11-12k. and i would have the is for every day driving. instead of dropping the same amount for a reliable turbo kit. but as far as the full gte swap i dont have a clue how much that costs if thats alot cheaper then i would probably do that... damn, i just typed that out and then i figured out you were talking about an sc or 240 apposed to a supra... im a retard... i thought you were just talking about boost in general... feel free to laugh at my expence...

You can get a USDM 2JZ-GTE with V160 for $4k!?!?!?!

Hmmm, I though V160 alone goes for $3-4k... Maybe I'm just out of the loop since I really don't research prices on stuff I don't need as of now, but I have been keeping up with all the 2JZ swapped 240s.

Either way, good luck with your next project, and post up some pics as you progress.
