Thumbs up Just purchased my 2002 IS300...Need Advice!

Hello everyone... I'm new to the IS world and need some advice. I was able to adopt my 02' IS from an elderly lady and she was the sole owner from day one I have been blessed to say the least I've seen some pretty slick IS's out there but rarely due I see the Pearl White ones like mine. Any advice on wheels? Tint? or anything else that I can do to make it look smooth but not completely riced out....

THANKS!!!!!

Congrats and welcome to CL. Check out www.tirerack.com; they have a nice little tool that shows you how wheels look on the car. There are a lot of things you can do, but it all depends on your budget and what look you're going for. Read up on some of the posts here and on my.is to get ideas. Tint makes a big difference, go for that no matter what.

Cool dude. Sounds like the car was likely in the garage 90% of the time.. I'd tint first, maybe 20%. Then get the wheels/tires. Chrome rims would look slick with the white, but some gun metal or black chrome would be smooth.

Congrats on the IS..my best advice is to research and read all you can within various IS sites. Theres tons of info out there to keep you busy for quite some time.

lexodus... i think i will do the 20% tint right away. I also already have my eyes on a slick set of shoes I hear 19" is the biggest the IS will let you put on... Anyone know the facts here?

Probably a silly question here but how do you take off the stock grill? I noticed there were two plastic screws on each side looking down on it and one regular one on top that attach it to the bumper but there seems to be something securing it down on the bottom. I looked but couldn't see anything. I am afraid to pull to hard and brake the dam thing...

I think 19" is the biggest you can go without modding the fenders.

Yeah intake and exhaust are easy bolt-ons that will make a nice difference on performance and sound.
