If this 430 goes into production, it will keep up or even leave a Ferrari 550 Maranello. The 550 also has around 400 hp.

Anyone think we'll actually have access to this car ? Or is it a teaser ? Lexus/Toyota seems much more apt to bring cars like this market, especially in light of the competition and there current and near future offering's......I will put a deposit down today if it meant a delivery in 12-18 months...

Also can I get those TTE rims ? What are they 19's.....or 18's...andfront spoiler very nice....I think Richie mentioned 'understated', that describes it perfect ! I think that is the best look of any car.....

The thing is, i'm sorry, but i still like the styling and interior of the GS, we don't have people telling us or mistaking the GS for a civic and such. Just not my type, i'm more of the luxury person i guess. Not to offend anyone, that's just my own opinion.

Just in case you guys forgot, the HPS concept turned into the Series-II GS with no changes other than wheel size. Lexus usually doesn't show "teaser" cars. The original concept LS4 WAS the LS4 and again the HPS concept I just mentioned. This thing will see production sooner or later. Lexus could stand to have an M_ and AMG fighter...

Looks like they had to modify the hood to make the engine fit...

Anybody know if this car will be making the North American Auto Show circuit this year??

Brent I think you are right the hood looks a bit elongated and a touch higher to accomodate the 4.3 Litre engine.. Still looks very nice thou! BTW did you get rid of your SRT intake yet??

By the way is that just a car designed by TTE or is that going to be a "Lexus" OEM vehicle? Does anyone know where I can get that bumper? Does TTE have a site? Are they based out of the UK? Anyone?

For those who want to get a hold of TTE products here in the US, log on to www.cecwheels.com
They are an exclusive distributor here in the US.

I guess it will be just in our dreams (US people) since there are so many regulations here in the US that it might be impractical for TTE or Toyota to bring it here. Just imagine it took 2-4 yrs for the IS300 to arrive in our shores when Altezza and IS200 were already out in the market in Europe and Asia. However, we go the 3.0 engine.

Doesn't compressor imply that its forced induction??? "Kompressor" ring a bell? Its what Mercedes calls their superchargers. By the looks of things, Lexus has decided to add a roots style supercharger to the 4.3. Not to be confused with the Swift Racing centrifugal type, it should spin out good torque numbers... It doesn't take a whole lot of engineering to make 400hp out of a 4.3 if you have a positive displacemnent compressor sitting on the engine. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem like Lexus did what I had hoped for, which is an "M" style 4.3 that is punched out, stroked and breathes better. 400 normally aspirated hp out of a 4.3 would be pretty difficult as it took BMW 5 liters to hit 400.

BMW and any manufacter (probably) could get 400hp out of a smaller displacment engine (smaller than 5 liters) its just that its safer and puts less pressure, less work for the engine, to do it with more displacment.

No, It wont. My neighbor has a 550 and it has over 400 at the wheels, not the crank. To be exact, 485 at the crank. I am not sure if the IS430's hp is at the crank or not, but this will not keep up with a 550. The 550 is also signifigantly more torquey. But bye bye M3!
