Ok just so you guys know I am a novice at all this modding stuff, so my explanations will sound very weird...
I wanted to get some kind of replacement for the OEM intake system because from what I have read, it is not that great. First I wanted to get a more expensive air filter like K&N high flow performance air filter,
http://www.******************.com/pe..._number=332170 , but I dont know if thats all just a sale gimic so maybe a new intake system is better like the fujita intake system, http://www.lextasy.com/is300-fujita.htm . My ultimate reason for changing out my stock is b/c of the extra little horsepower, better fuel economy, and better "sound". Is it worth spending money on replacing the stock and if so which is better solution or is all this stuff just for show with no other added benefits?
Thanks.

Hey whatsup,
If you're seriously looking for a new intake stay away from Lextasy, they have a bad rep. Since you say you want more HP look into getting an SRT intake. The SRT will give you the most gain. If thats to expensive for you then try the Joe Z intake. K&N ranks about third to the SRT then Joe Z.
You'll find more info over on my.IS. If you haven't searched over there already, look under the "go fast" forum and you'll find all the info you need.
Goold Luck

SRT isn't street legal anywhere.... Only C.A.R.B. Legal intake I know is AEM and maybe Injen. Anything else is technically illegal in all states.
I would suggest getting one of these intakes:
1. SRT w/ R-ecu
2. LMS CAI
3. K&N FIPK
4. Joe-Z with aftermarket drop in filter

Cool~
Which one??? or does both of them come with it???
Most states don't really check... I never been asked to pop my hood so they can check if my intake is CARB legal in GA. Or for that matter, if I had any cats. In Cali.... That might be another story...

Well~ We have annual emission testing in GA also, BUT intake isn't going to do anything with emissions... (unless your getting a CEL)
As for cats, I'm about to get some stock headers so I can replace them when it's time for emission testing.
