New guy... couple ?'s
First I would like to introduce myself and say hi. I just purchased an 04 IS300 a couple weeks ago and LOVE it. I can't wait to start modding the car....
here are a couple pics.... (stock for now)
One of my first questions and forgive me if this has been addressed in another section, but how bad is lexus with honoring warranties on lightly modded cars? I'm talking intake, axle back and some suspension? I got the car with a 6 yr. from now/100k warranty and would like to keep it.

depends on the dealer
some won't mind while others will tell you that you just voided the warranty.
suggest you ask this question in the your local forum and see which dealers are cool w/ mods.

Congrats and welcome to CL. Check out my.is too if you haven't already. It's a more active forum. As for the mods, You shouldnt have any problem with the warranty for a cat back exhaust. Intakes can be a little touchy...you may want to make sure before you do it. The SRT will surely void it, because you have to cut into the factory wiring harness for the piggyback ECU. The others are just direct bolt-ons. Most other cosmetic mods shouldn't matter. I think they're more concerened with what's under the hood. If you go aftermarket on parts like brakes, they will probably just not cover that portion of the car. To be entirely sure, you should check with whoever holds your warranty 1st.

A simple mod as a intake or exhaust shouldn't give too much problems. If your worried about them voiding your warranty, just re-install the stock parts back on. It shouldn't take long for those 2 things.
PS: Blue Steel, from the pictures, it looks like you already are modded. Either you, or the previous owner did the "Fog Mod" on it
