So.... my IS300 is dead?
My car died this morning... I dont know why.. I didn't leave the lights on over night.... Basically, it just won't start. When i turn the ignition, it will go click tap tap tap click...something like that...
The battery is charged, my neighbor had tested it out for me... next he said that it sounds like the starter is dead???!?!
How? What? Why?? I just drove it the day before and it was fine.....
Anyone know what it could be??
And if it is my starter... how much would it cost? and....
Would it be recommended that I go to a dealer to get it fixed??
I'm in Vancouver, BC
Thanks

IDK about Canada, but here, AutoZone or w/e can test your starters for free...
That way you are sure that the starter is the problem.
PS: They also test batteries (just in case your neighbor might be wrong)
Other things to check:
1. Check if your getting spark.
2. Alternator
3. Igniter
4. Fuel pump

Hey, I'm in van too ... I'd place money on that sound being your battery ... if you want we can try jumping it (if the battery isn't dead jumping it shouldn't really matter) ... but cdn tire let my battery die over night while it was sitting there (full story and reason y it was there in 'canada' section)
ANYhow, if you wanna meet up and investigate shoot me a pm or msn, i'm always rechable on msn ... ive got class till 330 but i'm free after that

Just an update.... after leaving my car in the garage for a week..
For those who guessed that its my battery.......... is correct....
my neighbor was wrong... i should have known better..... he did a light bulb test...and voltage can light up a tiny light bulb...
So....I went and bought a new battery and hooked it up.. the car starts up fine... as for my old battery.. it's still sitting in my garage... the indicator on it, saids that the battery is good, (its the original battery that came with the car... ) which boggles my mind, why it would show that its good.. when it can't keep a charge over night..
I guess i got 7 years out of the it.. so it was about time it died???
