I am about to purchase a used is300 vehicle.
I was informed that there was a minor accident where the bumper was cracked and the bumper guard was dented.
I was told it was fixed.
Should I buy it since there might be frame damage if the bumper guard was dented ???
Suggestions please...
thanks

What you should be looking for is the foam (or whatever it is) padding that sits behind the bumper. Some people think that small accidents like a fender bender, that hits the bumper only damages it cosmetically. But under the bumper is the foam padding which cracks when it absorbs the impact.
That is your biggest concern in my opinion.

There should be no frame damage to that, only if it was really a minor accident. It's hard to say, since its hearsay.

That would be the first place I started...then, if I still wanted the car...I would take it to a mechanic.
