I need help on the years. Options what to look for when buying one. I have around 16k to drop on one.

Look at the Is300 faq questions on my.is, it shows the year to year changes. The 2001 is the first year and had some bugs to it, so for 16k I would look at a 2002 or a 2003. Most Is300's come fully loaded so your main choices are if you want a navgation system or not, if you want a e-shift automatic or manual and if you want your car to have a LSD, for serious driving, but non LSD cars can get a LSD later. Good luck and pick a good one, ,btw dark grey(GGP), and the bright blue(IBP) are the best colors.
