HKS Dragger II Exhaust!!!??
Im intrested in buying this exhaust for my 03. I have a 5 speed. I was wondering if there is any drone with this system. This would be my first performance mod. Anyone have it used that they are looking to sell? Let me know.
Thanks, Kyle.

i dont have one, but if you read up on some of the threads on this forum and my.IS, then you'll find out (like i did), that the dragger II is one of the most common exhausts.... and one of the loudest hehe. if you're cruisin the freeway a lot, you will most likely experience a little drone when you're around 3000-4000 rpms. but if you can live with the drone, then its a SIIICK exhaust and sounds really good. its not very tinny or raspy either. i'll be goin with a dragger II or Hiper when i get an exhaust in a few months

oh and you should go to the my.IS forums in marketplace: sale/trade and search through there for some good deals... there's a bunch for sale.
check out this video, sounds pretty good

i have one it sounds fine its just loud when you floor it or hold off on shifting gears. The sound is lower then a tow truck the only time it drones is when its on an automatic lexus on manuals it sounds nice and low and like he said look on my.is thats where i got mines for 130

There is a drone when cruisin speed. It's not high pitch it's more of a deep drone. Basically when I'm cruising 60 on 5th gear, you can hear it. but 5th gear 70 mph basically above 3k rpm it's not as bad. The exhaust has a deep sound below 3k rpms. therefore 4th gear on 60 isn't noticeable. I love it. it's not loud at all. But WOT ya, you'll get heads turning

I don't think its the loudest exhaust......my brother has the dragger II on his IS and I drove his car for 6 months and I think that my GT spec exhaust is a lot louder than the dragger.

That also depends on the exhaust too. The Tanabe exhausts are generally quiter than most axlebacks ( can't remember which tanabe exhaust). But for the most part, a lot of the cat backs are louder than the axle backs. Mine has a deep rumble at idle, like the wrx but not as loud, and has kind of a raspy sound at full throttle, like the 350z or g35.

Actually most exhausts get louder with time. A brand new exhaust will be quieter than a broken in one. When I got my exhaust it was still fairly quiet at idle and now after 5 months it rumbles fairly loudly at idle. The same thing happened to my exhaust on my SC300 when I had it.

i have a dragger II and i love it. then i put on my SRT intake and actually took out some of the drone and gave more of a roar when i would gun it.
i don't experience much drone anymore when i'm cruisin with the intake in.
and as for the loudest exhaust, IMO it would have to be Greddy Evo is my vote.

There's a chance I might sell mine, but I'm not sure yet. If you want to know what it sounds like, stop by Lexus of Bellevue anytime on the weekend and I'll give you a ride in mine.
IMO, this is the best sounding exhaust for the IS300. Not annoying, nice and deep, and has a nice low tone during freeway driving. There are more than a few videos on YouTube with people that have the Dragger II.
You could also pick up a Dragger II at a fair price if you search my.IS, usually you can find a few people parting out their cars.
