Wife closed garage door - guess what?
The middle of the rear bumper is all scaped up, what a bummer! I took it this morning (Tuesday) to All-Car Collision & Frame on Wiles Rd. in Coral Springs FL. They quoted me $255 which includes fixing scrapes, repaining the whole bumper and then clear coat. Well being pleasantly suprised I asked this. How bought repairing the front bumper. The front bumper has been through hell and has numerous paint chips and 2 1" gouges from something that fell off a truck. The damage (price) $350 which includes removing front bumper and refinshing and repainting then re-installing. The time frame for repairs is 2 & 1/2 days maybe less. I'll keep you South Florida people posted as to the quality. The shop is only a couple years old and looks real good.
Wednesday: Well got a call today from the repair shop. Come pick up your car it's finished (24 hours)! I was quite suprised and said wow thats fast. He explained that he had two people available and they removed the front bumper and repaired it. Then they backed the car into the paint booth and shot both the front and the back at the same time. I asked how it looks and he said great so I said I'd be right over. Well the paint matched up perfectly and it looked like new. My wife commented "you can't even tell where the scrapes were". The price like I said was $605, I brought $650 figuring tax. The price was $605 exactly and they didn't have change so they said $600 is close enough.
I really like having a negative (damaged IS) turned into a positive experience (fixed IS). If you live nearby give 'em a try, ask for Dave or John tell 'em Mike with the silver IS sent you.

I'm glad that it turned out well for you. Guess this bodyshop is getting a positive reputation, fast, through action, not promises.
For me, I'm praying that when I get my car back on Tuesday, the four wheels won't fall off as we leave the Lexus Dealership.
