02 IS300 Shifter **** 5-speed

Can anyone tell me where to source an aftermarket shifter **** for an 02 IS300? A google search hasn't really panned out. Also, has anyone obtained the thread pitch and size of the shifter shaft itself? I am investigating this purchase/upgrade for a friend so I don't have the car to do the measurements myself. If there are no suitable replacements available, has anyone tried powdercoating their shifter *****? I have the equipment to do this but wanted to check this forum first.
