ok..The car is an 2004 Auto w/LSD

Ok, so my car came with an LSD..atleast i think it did it does read B***/A***

i dont think its an lsd...ive tried the burnout test and yes there are 2 marks

Anyway

let's say i try to get the car sideways...still thinking i have an LSD

1. press the T/C button to turn the system off, light says "Trac Off"

2. Flick the car sideways or just stamp on gas

3. As soon as the wheels spin i hear a loud beeping sound, the traction lost button flashes..and the T/C kicks in again to stop me from doing what i wanted to do, and still the "Trac off" light is on signaling that supposedly my t/c system is turned off

my question is: i thought if i turn the T/C off..it's actually off, not still on

ive tried some stuff like pressing the ECT PWR button...didnt work

using e-shift - didn't work
e-brake - nope
putting it in L,2,and 3 - still nothing

can someone explain if this is normal or not?

 

This seems to be normal..two of my friends have automatic IS's and weve tried drifting in the rain with both of them..had the same porblem as you..the Trac Off light blinked and there was a beeping noise..then we tried it in my car (03' IS300 Manual Tranny) and with the "Trac Off" we got it sideways w/ no problem and no beeping...so idk..there has to be some way to override that in the automatic..but to answer your question, YES it seems to be normal..goodluck

i was thinking...what if i just pulled out the fuse the T/C..if that would help

 

I dont have an automatic but i know for sure that in the manual transmission i turn off the trac and get it sideways like crazy with no problems .
