is300 2001 car don't start
Hi, Need help... i bought a used is300 2001 that only came with one key, and then i lost the only key i had, so i called the dealership and they told me that the is300 "2001" model, that I can't just get a new key. I have to get a new ecu and key and get everything reprogram. That going to run over $2000. So, I look around and call this use is300 part place, and bought a used ecu and ignition set from a used is300 that they were parting out. So i replace the ecu, the key ignition all the wirer. But when i try to start the car. It crank, but will not start............. (the security light still blink) Doesn't anyone know what going on? Do i have to reset the ecu or reprogram the car????
PLEASE HELP!!!

The ECU doesnt recognize the key, because the codes have been dropped.
You would now need to take it to lexus and have them reprogram your key to start the car. So basically, tow it or get lucky and have a tech come to your house.
Good luck
EDIT:
Here is a site that will help you. I was going to try a specific answer, but it seems like more than one issue.
Wont start
