Question Tinting Windows on IS 300

How much would it cost to have the windows in my IS tinted? I know that you probably can't give me exact prices, but estimates would be greatly appreciated. I want the job done right, so to make sure of this I know the price will be a little higher. Thanx

What a coincidence...I was estimated $250 to tint my '02 IS300 at T&T Tinting here on Oahu, Hawaii. I have Ultra Chrome @ 35%...looks awesome.

Usually it's because you're using a high quality tint material. There are cheaper materials, but they don't have lift time warranties, and even if they do they will often start to look fuzzy and maybe (but doubtful) bubble. You're basicly getting what you paid for. You also have to consider how good of a job the guy who is doing the tint will do. The incredible guys cut the tint perfectly, while the crapier guys cut the tint a few millimeters to a centimeter too short.

i paid $195 at a shop called tint plus in mission viejo and they used formula one tint. there might be a tint plus in the san diego area. regardless, make sure the shop guarantees their work and the tint for life.

I went to Tint Plus in Mission Viejo as well for my Civic Si. They seemed very professional. The tint looked perfect for 2.5 years, never a bubble or loss in color. I got the professional metalic tint stuff, not the dye'd plastic, cuz those turn purple. I plan on going back to Tint Plus sometime soon, I assume it will prolly be about what the last guy said, since my civic was like 160 and it was less tint.

RDANG54,
That's cool...I got my Honda Odessy tinted at the Navy Exchange in Pearl Harbor back in '95 for $150...same deal with the lifetime warranty, but the company split years ago and now there's a new installer there. I just wanted to go to a place that I know has been around for a long while and who's reputation is still lasting. I don't doubt that there are "cheaper" installers on-island, I just didn't want to bother with too many choices.

You've got the idea. The problem with a lot of tinters is that they will either go out of business, and then you're left without anyone to warranty your tint. Or they are asses about covering repair work. I've been through the former. I'm willing to spend extra money for less of a headache later on.
