Picking up a IS300 this weekend...... What should I check for?

02 and 03 are merely the same. Find one with LSD. You wont be disappointed with the LSD, as it will give you a better launch off the line.
Auto's tend to shift hard, between 2nd and 3rd. And from 2nd to 1st. But thats normal.

I have an 01 with 140,000. Make sure the timing belt has been done, even better if the whole 90,000 mile service has been completed. The CD changer is a known problem and costs about $600. Other than the CD changer going out ive only had to replace an O2 sensor ($350) and the thermostat ($150). All other money spent has been on normal maintenance. Mines going up for sale, anyone interested?

check and make sure that it doesnt have the "melting dashboard" preoblem...my IS has this and it sucks because you cant even touch the dash w/o it smudging and getting on ur hands..nothin I can really do about it
