are the windows rolled up all the way? hehe sorry sometimes you gotta expect simple solution.

My old neighbor took her mercedes to the dealership two times to check out a knocking noise that she felt from under her seat when she made turns. TWO times and they didn't see any probems. One day I was just joking and said "did they look under your seat??" I put my arm under the seat and there was a full bottle of water.... Obviously it was rolling from side to side slamming into the opposite side when she turns..

If I didn't find the bottle of water and bring it up with great suprise and excitement I could pretended like I actually had to do hard work and I could have charged her some jacked up mercedes hourly rate... Fix the problem in a few minutes and charge her for 4 hours. haha

my old car did that but it was something wrong wit the after market cd played that was causing the speakers to make a really high pitched whistle or more of like a squeal when i was accelerating.

hmm... i got a stock deck and only two of the speakers work haha. i know i got some wind sneaking in somewhere on my driver side window but the sound doesn't seem to be coming from there. more like from the engine.

I don't know why every IS has wind noise at the drivers window, but they all do. Mine is further influenced by the drivers window sagging forward slightly. I need to find out if there is nylon inserts in there that ride the track that I can replace.

Maybe I am spoiled by having a rock solid SC400 in the driveway as well, but you shouldn't have to deal with wind noise that is that annoying in a Lexus.

I discovered the noise is the side view mirrors where the space is for them to be "tucked in". Some sort of a spacer or silicone will fix it... I'll letcha know how it works. But I am certain it's the mirrors. If I cover the crack on the front, the whistling stops.
