Post DIY Nav Housing Wiring including Illumination

i compiled this from lo21 and my conversations.

RADIO SIDE plug-------->NAVIGATIOn LARGE SOCKET
pin 1 is power-------goes to top right of socket(pin1)
pin 11 is acc--------bottom right of socket(pin 14)
pin 20 is ground-----bottom left of socket(pin 25)
pin 2 illumination (+)------above ground(pin 13)
pin 12 illumination (-)------next to power(pin 2)

fully tested and ilumination now works

i didnt use the harness. i soldered directly to the pins. that harness is rediculously hard to find unless you find an is300 in a salvage yard that has the complete nav setup.

to build it goto the first thread and download the word file linked.

but here is the part list.(i purchased mine from another my.is member so it was already completely assembled.

thanks to youtube i had to change audio track to the second video
YouTube - video 2 :Lexus IS300 oem, navigation alpine screen

and the way i have audio run. is i have full functionality of the stock 6disc changer/am/fm radio. what i did is purchase a vais technology aux in/ipod controller. to operate it you hit DISC and headunit thinks the deck has another cd changer(ipod) and you select what playlist you want to play as if you were selecting another cd(1-99). also you hit DISC again and the system accepts whatever audio signal youve hooked into the aux in on the vais. Currently i have just an ipod photo hooked up to it. so it slideshows whatever pictures i select. but the other night my dad brought down his video ipod and i dropped it onto the ipod doc and i got the video to play on the nav screen area, and the audio to play through the audio system(vais aux in) and it worked flawlessly.
