I am a little confused because you said the idler pulley was not done and also that he gave you the old part back. I don't believe they typically replace that with the 90K service and if it's still working fine, I don't think there's a reason to replace it. I don't think mine was done with the 120K service and I only had it done at 165K when it had issues do to a bad crank pulley.

Son has a pretty good memory in my experience, so I think he'll take care of you if you want to have it done.

no there is the idler pulley or tensioner bearing which is the same and that was done.

what wasn't changed was the hydraulic tensioner for the timing belt, which i am told should be changed since we are already "in there" to begin with. i think son's work is great, but i wish i didn't have to drive back to get that done.

anyways, lets pray everything goes well. i will probably make an appointment for next friday and i will see what he says. i wonder if he will give me a loaner or should i just wait the 2-3 hours it may take to change it???

thoughts???

thanks... rey

I'm not sure about the loaner. I've always just left my car there and had him call when he was done.
