Wrong brand, keep moving. Although the IS is the least quiet of the Lexus, it's still a Lexus. It's also not cheap to insure like a Kia, as again it is a Lexus under ten years old so it banks for repair parts cost and insurance premiums...... and to top it all off what you saw wasn't an IS. So I wish I had better info, but this is completely the wrong direction here. Wrong car, wrong goals. I'd go for the RSX with your needs.

not cheap to insure? my 02 w full coverage and low deductables runs me 80$ a month, that includes my renters insurance for my home/ stuff, 150k$ life insurance policy, 13 speeding tickets, a stop sign violation, and 3 license suspensions in 10 years driving... it also includes a recent 3100$ claim for repairs after a minor accident on the highway... imo 80$ is a steal, correct me if im wrong

No offence but: I'm inclined not to believe you.
