the closest thing would be an sc300 but it looks nothing like the is300.

I believe perhaps he was looking at the SC430.

Is there any other type of lexus that looks almost like the Is300?

Must of been a one off car. Anyway quick advice if you are going to turbo the car(which is expensive, but you end up with a four door supra) get a IS300, if you keep it NA get a RSX type S. What else is importmant to you in car choice?

There is no IS300 coupe. you probably saw a random car with Altezza tail light or retro fitted rear end. Go test drive IS300 and type S and see which one you like most. the difference between both cars should be day and night since one is FWD and one is RWD

Yep,

Photoshopped. I think a 1gen coupe would take away from the essence of the IS300 IMO.

insurance cost, and over all performance, I don't like cars where I can hear a pen drop inside.. I want to be able to hear the car so I know what's going on. needs to be a manual, and have no issues what so ever for a long period of time.

insurance... is300 is definitely the wrong car then... insurance is extremely high. overall performance? are you talking about stock or modified? both rsx and is300 can have no issues if well taken cared of. its easier to find an rsx manual than an is300. and the pen drop sound... depends on how loud your music is lol

yeah insurance is a b*tch so get quotes before you get your heart set one way or another. the is300 is ranked top 10 costs for insurance...just not sure where the rsx-s sits.
