All the guys on Supraforums have done this mod. It stops your car from recycling hot exhaust gases back into your motor allowing more clean oyxgen to flow through. I have heard that this increases throttle response and also will all a few extra hp. Since my 98 Supra N/A-T has the same motor as your IS300 I wanted to ask you guys.

don't bother, it doesn't recirculate under wot

you could disconnect your EGR VSV to get a preview. You'll set a code, but no exhaust gas will come into the intake. I doubt it'll make any difference.
