The new G35 Coupe coming this fall this awesome.
6 SPEED...and 275 Horsepower. This car is gonna fly.
I just drove the sedan...had good pickup and handled very well. Right after I drove the IS300 5 Speed, not nearly as much *****, and a very very notchy uncomfortable shifter.
The BOSE stereo in the G35 is the best stock system I've heard...amazing.
Can't wait to see and drive the couple. It's gonna be a killer.

tragen, thanks for posting those pics. I saw that earlier today, online, but it was such a small picture I wasn't quite sure what it was. I was thinking it looked like the new Z but with the G35 front end. The exterior looks great! Clearly has 350Z roots and the G35 interior. Look at the seats, even get the design from the new Z. the driver seat has the bump in the middle that the passenger does not.
The dislike...interior needs some work. It's like the luxurious Z. Very intriguing.

This makes my new car situation quite interesting now. I was pretty much set on an IS300 5-Speed, or maybe a GS300, but now that I have this new information, my decision to replace my RX300 will be difficult. This Nov. my lease term will cease, and I must make a decisive & definitive decision, but how in the world can you replace Lexus reliability, who knows? I guess my dilemma lies in the fact that a Toyomoto/TBKO turbo based IS300 sounds very enticing, and the notion that this would be a new car (1st year production) shuns me away from the car, plus, what kind of aftermarket potential does this model have? Stillen Etc. Decisions Decisions. . . With regards to Infiniti/Nissan's reliability etc., what kind of ratings do they have?
I concur with the notion of the interior needing some work in the new G35 production line, but the coupe in my estimation looks quite good compared to the sedan. Perhaps the addition of the 350Z's aesthetic lines provided a much need boost to the overall flair of the G35 coupe. Many on the CL board have expressed their disdain for the G35, but I truly think Infiniti/Nissan is doing an excellent job of enhancing their company from the depths of. . . well we all know where they were going before Carlos Ghosn took over.
P.S. For those of you that don't have this link, check it out, they "usually" post pretty good information to various sites with information on new cars. . .

Hi everyone, I'm new here and love the opinions you have all shared. I myself love the IS300 to death. Probably because the Supra has always been my passion, but since they stopped that production the non-turbo engine lived on on the IS. I do here a rumor that the Supra may be coming back?? Anyhow just in case you were not sure, the G35 is built on the Z350 platform. The sedan is not. That's why you see such a spliting image. I have read some disguse to the G35 design and power (mostly about the sedan). I have NEVER been a Nissan/Infinite fan, but after seeing the newer designs (i.e. Altima 3.5 now G35 coupe) I have to wonder what kind of impact it's going to have on Lexus, BMW, etc. The real reason too why I would even look at a G35 is the price. Eventhough I have no "Real" idea what the price will be, there estimates gives a ball park figure $32,000 base. The only thing I can say is that a fully loaded IS300 5spd and a Fully loaded G35 sedan is a difference of about $500-$1000 dollars. Believe me when I tell you, I love Lexus. The GS, sweet!! The IS, even sweeter. SO I'm having a massive hard time deciding what will be the Grand purchase come September 2002. Anyhow I think I said more than I wanted too. Keep up the good work on those IS custom/aftermarket upgrades.
Just my Opinion
