I've been trying for a couple weeks now to get rid of my 01 for an 02 5spd. I'm not getting any buyers and the trade in value sucks. I know there is a post on IS300.net about what parts you would need, but I wanted to know if anyone has done it. Or do you know of any shops that would? I emailed Toyomoto, but haven't heard anything back.

5spd swap is not a good idea. u need more than u think...including the engine ecu on the 5spd. the 5spd will hold the same amount of power as the auto..the only thing you will eliminate is shift problem. so if that's what your'e looking for, go with a build auto tranny (800rwhp+ it will hold) for prob cheaper than acquiring the 5spd tranny and all the necessary parts and labor.
