Tire size question on stock wheels for the Sportcross Wagon
Hello all,
I'm new to the forum and I have a question about any other tire size option on my SportCross Wagon. Is it possible to go 225/45/17 in front and 235/45/17 on the rear? I'm mainly concern of the front tires rubbing the fender/wheel-well. Any input is greatly appreciated.

That would be okay, but you could go with 225/40's in the front for no rubbing at all. I wouldnt go any wider than 245
Are you lowered? If not, then your tire spec should be really good

thanks for the input IS3_FTW. The car is fully stock with no modification or any sort. I have two kids with an infant so I may have to wait before I do anything with the suspension. Unless, you can suggest a set up that would improve the handling and stance without sacrificing the ride comfort. Meanwhile, I'll be canvasing for tires...thanks a bunch.

Yup....you will be fine with those tires.
Go with the Eibach Pro-kit springs with either Tokico HP or Bilstein shocks. It's a modest drop (1") and makes our Sportx look 100x better. This set-up won't sacrifice too much of the stock ride but you will def enjoy the lowered look. As for handling, to feel a difference.....sway bars would be the way to go.

Not sure if they still have any left, but recall seeing this as a smoking deal on OEM sized tires for the 1IS from one of our forum vendors a couple of months ago
