how do i take off the dealerships badge from the trunk?
ok ive had the car for a couple of months now and im starting to get into the customization phase, first things first, above the lexus badge on the trunk they put on a badge that looks just like the lexus badge only its the name of the dealership, im assuming its fixed on there the same way as the original badges, whats the best way of removing something like this without damaging the paint or the car? i can take some pics if neccesary

If that doesn't work or if you have those badge thingies that some dealers put on, you might want to use a fishing line underneath the badge. I'd personally let it soak in a bit of WD40 or bug and tar remover first to soften up the glue. I wouldn't recommend getting anywhere near your paint with a heat gun.

Likewise. If it's just a sticker, just wait for a hot day and you'll be able to pull it off with your fingertips. Hit the remaining gunk on the car with any kind of degreaser (DAWN comes to mind) or bug and tar remover and wipe it off with a cloth. You might have to work at some bits with your fingernails.

yea.. IS has a holes in the L badge.. both others are sticky type..
he was talking about the dealership badge... its sticky always..
that would suck, if the dealership put holes in ur car with there badge.. that would turn me away and would not buy the car. ha
On my car, i have the lexus emblem removed off.. i put the Lexus emblem on my dash on the passenger side.. it looks factory.. Plus, i removed the old glue off, and put on new 3m tape. I do plan on taking my IS300 emblem off and putting that somewhere in my interior too. Leave the L emblem on..
