Hi Guys, Even I am the fan of all Lexus models but i still don't understand these words. What does GS; ES; LS stand for? I know IS stands for Intelligent Sport but I don't know them. Anyone has the answer?

I thought GS was 'grand sedan' ... as in, bigger than the economy one but not quite as luxury
I think they talked about this in the GS section once.
Srange how IS = Intellegent Sport and the otherones are something sedan ... maybe GS is for Grand Sport in that case ... hhmmmmm

I read somewhere in a official magazine(it was a legit magazine can't remember what) that IS - International sport..... i think that makes more sense than intelligent sport because there are IS' on the otherside of the world. not quite sure what would be meant by intelligent sport

According to one of the club lexus member
It is really interesting that why some of Car names more like the alpha numeric soups. Looks like the manufacturers are ditching the emotion stirring "buy"factor names in favours of numbers and letters like X and L. There was this research that the letters X,Z,S,T and R have positive connotations and also sound good.
There could be very handful in the global market.
