'bout half an amp!

I've managed to half find where it is......

Pulled a fuse and dropped it from 570ma down to 0046. Safe to say I found it. Well, kinda........

It's the 20amp radio fuse, but the radio is not at fault. I already unplugged the radio and still had the drain. Something on that circuit is pulling half an amp and kill my battery overnight.PRoblem is that it is apparently a factory part as my tv's, nav, eqt, etc..... are all on the one power wire and I disconnect them all at once when I unplug my main plug....... yet I still have the drain so it's a factory component. I'm on my way back out to trace the drain. Wish me luck!

It's radio fuse 1 which goes into the dimmer circuit.

Might be the factory amp...........

Update: It was the factory amp. Odd since it was not in use, just at idle. The Eclipse Nav and amps I have replaced all the factory stuff with an amp bypass. Looks like when not in use it can cause a half amp drain.

FYI to anyone else with a factory amp that idles without being used.

Did you just snip the power wire to the amp?

Maybe it wasn't grounded properly.

Why would you snip ANY wire in your IS? Just unplug it.......

If you drive your car every day you won't notice a half amp drain, but now that it is becoming cold through winter if you end up with a dead battery on some days you need to get load tested. I only drive my car about twice a week.
