Default IS3 handling

This is my impression of my IS3 5 speed's handling after 1300 miles:

1) The RE040 tires aRE O-SO-Stinky. They seem pretty slick when pushed.

2) The car leans a little to much when pushed.

3) TRAC makes the car do weird things in the dry; it definitely slows you down.

While the probability of track time in the car is limited, life is too short to drive a car that doesn't handle great . So I think that the best bang for the buck wrt aggressive street handling is to

1) Change the tires. PPSO3's or BFG KDW for reg street tires or Toyo RA1/ Falken Azenis if feeling a little more radical.

2) Get slightly bigger sway bars. I am aware that too thick will detract a lot from ride quality.

3) Turn off TRAC a lot .

Am I on target?

you can get trd race sway bars from Steve Ganz of Carson Toyota. He can give you a great deal.

Are those bars the stiffest available or are they more moderate?

I don't think that the Race sways are the stiffest out there. I've got the L-Tuned bars which by all accounts are slightly stiffer than the sportivo. Anyway I think that HKS has a stiffer bar out there, but don't quote me on that.
