To Ram Air, or Not To Ram Air..
That is the question. I've had 2 Acura Integras in the past and it seems like shortly after I switched the intake from stock to K&N style and went to synthetic oil the car started to burn oil shortly after. This is also why I continue to use regular 5W30 instead of synthetic, not to mention the price difference. Also I'm really not much of an aggresive driver these days. Chilling out in my ripe old age of 26 perhaps. Just doesn't seem necessary to spend the extra money on synthetic, especially when I've not had great experiences in the past.
On the contrary I'm thinking the Intake could be worth it in the long run with the increased mileage and throttle response. Seems like my problem could have been more of my abusing driving habits as a younger kid burning up piston rings. I'm no expert, just have lots of common knowledge
Let me know what you guys think!

The intake I have is a k&n fipk, and I think it is my best mod. I got it for $330 and there were no check engine light issues, srt and injen intakes are other good choices. So yes, get a good intake, you won't regret it!

Here is the sound in the cabin with just the intake only, no other mods.

No other intakes are worth the money. You should be either getting Joe-Z pipe with a drop in filter or the SRT intake with a R-Ecu.
The Joe-Z has about the same hp gains as those expensive intakes such as AEM, Injen etc. For more than half the price. The set up is about $100 plus a drop intake of your choice.
The SRT intake has the most gains out of all the intakes for a bit more its no point settling for an AEM, K&N, or Injen intake there all around $200-$300. SRT has been proven and you don't throw any cels. You might as well save $150 more and buy an SRT intake.
Please put synthetic oil on your car they are not Acura Integras. It is recommened by the manufacturer to be using only this oil for IS300 nothing else. Don't cheap out and hurt your car in the long run.
