Hey guys .. new to the Lexus forums .. always been a fan but im more of a mustang/turbo mazda guy .. Right now I have a mazdaSpeed6 ... I have always liked the IS 300 and have an idea of what I want to do but I have never been into Toyotas .. (except of course the supra) I am looking to do a semi budget hot rod IS 300 using a 96 LEXUS SC400 V8 (JDM ENGINE 1UZFE) .. My question to you yota gurus is what tranny ( manual ) will mat up to this motor ..?? Also is anyone aware of fitment issues .. this car has to have a/c intact if that helps ... again .. thanks for the info fellas !!

ya i would just go 2jz-gte as well same power gains and alot less of a head ache. look up the foose is300 that they did the same swap but kept it a auto and used a gs instead of the sc. but as for power and weight 2jz-gte for the win
